Tutorial on Adding an Email Account to K-9 Mail on Android Using Autodiscover (or Manual Configuration)
Prerequisites:
To add an email account to K-9 Mail using Autodiscover:
If Autodiscover fails:
Tap Manual.
Enter the following IMAP server settings:
Enter the following POP3 server settings:
Enter the following SMTP server settings:
Tap Next.
K-9 Mail will test your email settings. If the settings are correct, you will see a confirmation message. Tap Done to finish adding your account.
Once your email account has been added to K-9 Mail, you can start sending and receiving emails.
Note: K-9 Mail does not currently support SRV record discovery for Autodiscover. This means that Autodiscover will only work if your email provider has published SRV records for their Autodiscover server. If your email provider does not have published SRV records, you will need to manually configure your email account settings.
To manually configure your email account settings in K-9 Mail:
Open the K-9 Mail app.
Tap the menu button (three dots in the top right corner of the screen).
Tap Accounts.
Tap the account that you want to configure.
Tap Edit.
Enter the following IMAP server settings:
Enter the following POP3 server settings:
Enter the following SMTP server settings:
Tap Save.
Your email account should now be configured correctly.
